Hestamiðstöðin Borgartún is a family company located in Æðaroddi 36, Akranes wish is only 45 km from Reykjavik. Our goal is to meet the needs of every customer as best we can with personal service. We specialize in small groups or private adventure tours for every kind of customer.
We are also have training and breeding facility with spacious boxes, and attached to the stable is an indoor arena which is necessary for training horses and giving riding lessons.

Note:
Used boots, riding wear, saddlebags etc. must be disinfected before arrival in Iceland. This is because infectious diseases can easily be brought into the country, which poses a great danger for the horses. Riding wear is normally washed, and shoes, helmets and security wests are cleaned with iodine or some other fluid disinfectant.
Used riding gloves and all used leather articles (e.g. chaps) are prohibited.
